- Best Book You’ve Read So Far in 2018?
It is currently a tie between Children of Blood & Bone by Tomi Adeyemi and the Queens of Renthia series by Sarah Beth Durst. I have been so obsessed with these this year.
- Best Sequel You’ve Read So Far in 2018?
A Court of Mist and Fury + A Court of Wings and Ruin + A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas! I was absolutely enthralled by this series after reading the first book over Christmas and devoured these sequels. War Storm by Victoria Aveyard was also excellent and I was very sad that it ended.
- New Release You Haven’t Read Yet, But Want To?
Definitely want to pick up Everless by Sarah Holland. I was so excited about it that I bought it when it came out but got hit with a tiny reading hiccup right when I went to go read it so it’s sitting on my shelves waiting for me. I’m also super pumped to read Furyborn by Claire Legend
- Most Anticipated Release For Second Half of 2018?
Archenemies by Marissa Meyer and Two Dark Reigns by Kendare Blake are my number 1 releases for the last half of the year. I loved their prequels last year and am chomping at the bit to get my hands on the next installments of the s
- Biggest Disappointment?
My biggest disappointment read….probably Into the Water by Paula Hawkins. It was a decent read, but after so much hype over it last year I was definitely expecting more from it and so I feel like that may have dampened my feelings towards it.
- Biggest Surprise?
The ending of The Reluctant Queen by Sarah Beth Durst. I can’t spoil anything but this book had a bunch of twists and turns that I was sooo not expecting in any way shape or form.
- Favorite New Author?
Sarah Beth Durst is officially a new favorite. As mentioned earlier, I’ve been binging her Queens of Renthia series and can’t wait to check out more of her stuff
- Newest Fictional Crush?
Rhysand from the ACOTAR series. No explanation needed.
- Newest Favorite Character?
Cat from Deborah Underwood’s Here Comes the _____ Cat series. He’s so sassy and gets into so much trouble but he always learns his lesson at the end. For the moment at least.
- Book That Made You Cry?
Perfect is Boring by Tyra Banks and her mom made me laugh and ugly cry all at once for being so incredibly spot on and inspirational all at once.
- Book That Made You Happy?
I’m still currently reading it, but Next Year in Havana by Chanel Cleeton is making me incredibly happy.
- Favourite Book To Movie Adaptation You Saw This Year?
It’s not a movie, but I freaking LOVED the second season of Anne (with an E) on Netflix. White Princess was also amazing. I have a bunch on my list for the rest of the year though that are actually coming out this year: The Hate U Give, A Wrinkle in Time, The Darkest Minds, and To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before are all on my list to binge.
- Favourite Review You’ve Written This Year?
I’m terrible about writing reviews. I write them in my head but never get them down on paper! I do have one planned for the entire Queens of Renthia series once I finish it.
- Most Beautiful Book You Bought So Far This Year?
I haven’t really bought any books this year xD But probably books 2 and 3 of the Lara Jean trilogy or the ebook copies of the ACOTAR series. Even electronically those are still absolutely gorgeous!
- What Books Do You Need To Read By The End of The Year?
Carry On by Rainbow Rowell. I’ve been putting it off ever since I bought it when it first came out. Not because it’s bad, but I was in the middle of university at the time so I just never got around to reading it.
